People wont be carrying a spare set of gear in their bags if there's a risk of them dying :p At best you might be able to observe someone tired/stupid enough to put their weapon in their bag while they mine. Edit: Not trying to discourage you from playing but you need to be realistic.

If that's the only concern then turn Karma into a front-loaded DoT. Also, without karma the need to drop into stealth with puppet will be less significant. I've never actually PvPed with lotus skills, who knows it may end up being fun. I do think the 20sec lotus buffs may need revising though...

It's better that a character isn't instantly disconnected. I used to play a MMO called RF Online where your character would instantly be logged from game and this got abused by opponents using alt+F4 to avoid being PKed. Ambush from Knights of Shadow was famous for it :p
