Re-colouring images in bulk [TUTORIAL] (Images Warning)
This is a tutorial for people who wish to re-colour their items in MIR. Remember, the colour won't look the same ingame as it does on MIR, so play around with step 10 until you get one that looks good.
If you have the images you wish to re-colour, skip to step 5.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED;
1. Open up HH8 wil editor.
2. Choose a .WIL, I have chosen weapon. Once open goto the FIRST image of the weapon (or armour, item etc) you wish to recolour and make a note of the number of that image. (I'm using DSS)
3. Now go to the LAST image of that item, make a note of the number.
4. Click Export, a box will open, choose a folder which you want the images to go and enter the FIRST and LAST image of the sequence, and hit OK.
5. When that's done, load up photoshop and open one of the images, doesn't matter which.
6. On your Actions Tab (If you don't have it goto Window > Actions or press ALT + F9) click the New Action button, give the Action a name and click Record.
7. Now do to your image what you want photoshop to do to the rest, I will show you how to recolour.
8. Goto Image > Adjustments > Desaturate (SHIFT+CTRL+U) - This will make the image black & white.
9. Goto Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation... (CTRL+U) - A window will open
10. In the Hue/Saturation window, click Colorize and move the sliders around until you have the colour you desire (bright pink FTW!), hit OK.
11. Goto File > Save (CTRL+S) and then File > Close (CTRL+W)
12. Click Stop Recording (the square one!) on your Actions Tab, you're done making your action.
13. Goto File > Automate > Batch...
14. Select the Action you have just made from the dropdown menu and the Folder in which all your images are kept from step 4.
15. Hit OK and let it do it's job for a while (the more images, the longer it will take), when it stops it's done, check your images and make sure they are done.
16. Open HH8 and open your .WIL (Same one as step 2), click Import.
17. Choose the folder in which your images are saved from step 4 and hit OK.
Congratulations! The Images should now be added to your .WIL
(You could also put them into a new one, or replace them)
Good Luck!
EDIT - Added an attachment containing the tutorial in .txt format, including the images inside the folder named according to steps.
