I've just installed server 2008 r2 standard on my server, its got 4x 2tb hard drives in it, i've put it on RAID 10 which gives me 4tb to play with.

When i installed the server i left the main partition at the default of 2TB. I've shrank that now to 1TB (min it would go without defrag) and i've been able to allocate the new 1TB to a new drive.

The issue i'm having is theres still 168GB of unpartitioned space. When i left click it on disk management everything is greyed out and i can't do anything with it.

Can someone tell me how i allocate the remaining space? Ideally i'd like it all putting on to the second drive, but if i have to make a 3rd drive that's ok too.

IIRC, you need to make your Disk Dynamic.

To put the space onto your E:/ - right click it and extend volume.

I ****ed up the raid. I put 100% on a single raid 10 when i should have left space for raid 0 for the os to go on. Reinstalling it all now so hopefully will have better luck this time
