Other Port Forwarding in a dedi host

If your using the same host as I am. You will need to forward your ports. What I did was google/youtube 'How to forward your ports on a dedi/vps' and a solution came up for me. Try the same, it might work.

O/s is not the host name. Its windows 2008 i assume he's using same as mine. Does not have a firewall, only windows, but its fine you shouldn't play with that. just google forward ports on dedi and a video will come up which will guide you.

Winsdows 2008 does have a firewall. It looks similar and behaves almost the same as windows 7 with regards to firewall.
You need to make a rule for the Mir executables and can set ports although firewall was enough for one of my setups.

Yeah I did say it has a windows firewall... I didn't need to touch any of that to get it working. If he hosted it on his laptop/computer then he would have to add a rule on his anti virus.

let me set all lomcn players how to port forward lol..

go to windows firewall go to advanced setting

go to inbound rules NEW RULE THEN PORT (NEXT) TCP ALL PORTS PUT THE 7000 IN THEN NEXT

ALLOW ALL CONNECTION THEN A NAME LIKE RUNGATE THEN FINISH

YOUR DONE

DO THE SAME FOR ALL 3 PORTS , 7000,7100.7200

ADD THESE TO OUTBOUND RULES ALSO

FOUND UNDER INBOUNDD RULES

Technically thats port opening not forwarding, and will only work on a hosted server. If you host it yourself you'll still need to correctly port forward on your router

i have done this method and it works

and that is for mir port forwarding allow 7000.7100.7200 to allow players onto your mir server

hi on to this i have been working with some files been trying to open ports managed to open port 7000 done the exact same thing with 7100 an 7200 stc but says there closed done the firewall thing too any clues?
