    Evening all,

    We are planning to reboot the server tomorrow at 9am to apply Chronicles V4.5.

    Changes and fixes as of Chronicles V4.5:
    - Potential fix for HP being reset after death.
    - Added a chat box message when candles/torches expire (including hard torch).
    - Added maximum refine message so people don't potentially waste their refines with 0% chance of success.
    - Added a benediction oil cap (to correspond with the luck cap) so players don't waste bene's by mistake.
    - Option added to F12 to disable auto pot whilst on a horse, so players don't waste pots unnecessarily.
    - Fix for FrozenPrincess drop file (see below for more information).
    Results of EM/FP investigation:
    It was discovered that killing FrozenPrincess in a certain way could duplicate her drop file, giving the killers a much better drop than normal. Looking at the logs we have caught this potentially game braking bug almost as soon as it was discovered, but not before it had begun to be abused for unfair gains. We are still compiling evidence of who/when/what and deciding the consequences.
    EvilMir showed no signs of error and will be going back ingame with no adjustments; because the boss works in a similar way to FrozenPrincess this was also removed as a precaution while investigations were carried out.

    Gauntlet:
    Due to an unforeseen priority 1 bug been discovered and fixed this week, the Gauntlet release (and all subsequent announced release dates) have been pushed back by at least 7 days.
    We are planning to open up our test server early this coming week to give the gauntlet system some proper testing. All been well hopefully have it ready for a live release next reboot.

    Any chance you could do something to better benefit grouping or group play. Maybe a better benefit for grouping like mir3 had (HP buff if you had all 3 classes grouped) Or more of a exp buff between grouped players. Of course this could be abused, but a simple fix would be to make sure all players are on screen.

    Hey all, to keep your mouths watered during the Christmas break after the delays to getting these new spells added; below is the list of new spells we are planning to introduce on our next game update:

    Warrior:
    InfernoSword:
    An upgrade to FlamingSword; hit with a fierce supercharged flame causing the ground to erupt damaging a number of targets in front of you.

    CycloneStrike:
    An upgrade to CrossHalfmoon; swing your weapon around causing full damage to all enemies around you.
    Wizard:
    LightningStorm:
    Bolts of lightning strike a large area around the caster damaging many enemies within range (a mass Thunderbolt spell for the more mir literate).

    Hypnotism:
    An upgrade to ElectricShock; Greatly increases the effectiveness of the Wizards taming spell, allowing them to tame monsters quicker, and for longer.
    Taoist:
    Infect:
    Infect an enemy with disease effect causing both debuffs of improved green and red poison. Also contagious and will spread to any other enemies that come too close.

    YinYangBlast:
    An improved single target projectile spell which will bounce between you and the target up to 3 times while the target remains stationary. The returning Yang has a chance of reviving some HP/MP

    PedestalOfLife: Passive
    Become a beacon of life among heroes. Nearby allies will become visually connected to your soul; channeling a number of buffs to them at all times.
    Assassin:
    SmokeBomb:
    Throw a smoke bomb reducing the visibility of any enemies caught inside.

    DeathSense:
    Enemies with low HP are revealed to you by a flashing revelation bar.

    PhoenixShot:
    An upgrade to PiercingShot; shoots a flaming phoenix across the screen hitting all enemies in its path 3 spaces wide, also leaving a trail of fire in its wake.

    Mir Chronicles: The Forgotten Continent

    Story:


    Many years ago, long before the great Bichon war and the formation of the Bichon Council, two tribes inhabited neighbouring lands. The tribe of Duo held a small village known as Bich-Ma and the tribe of Tres inhabited a land on the other side of the great forest. The two tribes were bestowed with rivalry over who laid claim to which farmlands first and battles took place in the forest of Woomyon in an attempt to expand each other’s land.

    After many such battles the two tribes came to the realisation that they were evenly matched. The Duo tribe were greater in numbers, but the Tres tribe had more advanced weaponry and magic.

    The two leaders of the tribes reached a treaty and decided to split the lands evenly, the Duo tribe would take the southern half of the land and the Tres tribe the north. A giant wall was erected just north of the great forest dividing the two people in half.

    Many years past without any conflict before the leader of the Tres Tribe (who believed they were the superior race) decided one last attempt at ruling, he assembled the largest army ever seen (loosely translated to "The Judgement of Blood"), and on the Prelude to War developed new skills and techniques and more advanced weaponry. Before setting off to the south he had a Sorceress promise to cast a spell of Evil Illusion over the north if their conquest to rule failed.

    The Tres Tribe (expecting to find an ill-prepared Duo tribe) were shocked when they reached the castle gates of the village previously known as Bich-Ma, and found an army, vast in numbers and ready for battle. The Duo Tribe leader had known the Tres Tribe would eventually break the treaty and had been preparing ever since the great wall was erected.

    The battle was quick. The Duo army were fast and fair with their justice and when the last Tres warrior died, the Sorceress cast a spell that would forever hide the north.

    Thousands of years have passed since the vale magically separated the two halves of the land and the Duo Tribe have prospered. We know the story of the Duo Tribe, we have lived it and continue to live it! But what became of the Tres tribe? Their story will soon be told.

    what about the people who are just coming back to the server, is there anything to help them catch up?

    people below level 60 mainly to bring everyone in line with one another.

    The low level booster has already been recently adjusted to help lower levels catch up, also the instancing systems allows every a fair chance at getting some bossing in without the higher levels ruining the hunt.

    The new patch is to give the mid/high levelled players some more content and the expansion can be considered a "fresh start" in some respects I guess.

    i mean in terms of new players, or re-roller's

    because in terms of grinding in orcs for weeks when people made 0-60 on a weekend in the event kinda kills it for new players.

    this is coming from 60+ player i just see it as unfair and pointless for anyone to start now this later without any kinda boost because the event killed it for most/new players who join/come back for this patch.

    Maybe add a cave that opens every sunday that allows pre 60 for a couple of hours that will give them a chance to catch up with the current avg player level/content.

    with everyone being roughly around the same level would make things more fun for the server again more guilds more players.

    just an idea but im sure thats something you could possibly work with

    It will effectively be a completely new server using the 4 main official Mir3 classes, however, the servers will run on a common platform allowing us to do global wars and potentially merge the two worlds in the future.
