Anyone have any footage of this still. I remember seeing way back in the day I think it had Tao and Warrior as only two classes?

It is all in there, three chars and quick slots and all, I bet it is still being played out there by folks who stayed away from mir2 same as we never cottoned to mir3 :stung:

Er no I don't think it was ever properly released publicly. They scrapped it very early on for mir2

No, it was quite popular for a while in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was very public at the time. Quite a few here remember it.

mir1_map.gif

This was the map of the interconnecting castles. 6 main and 10 minor. There where a variety of locations with lower and stronger enemies, there was a skeleton zone, spider zone, ghost and dragon king zone (the hardest stage). Probably more... When you leveled up a point, you could choose a castle to join (a sort of proto-guild system) I remember you had to use a connection tool to connect to mir.actoz.com at the time. I might have a screenshot of this somewhere.

You had three classes. Two where a form of wizard, and then a warrior class which emphasized physical strength. But you could specialise in the form of occupations.
  • Illusionist: uses the power of fire
  • Soulmaster: uses the power of electricity
  • Leader: mainly uses the power of the ground
  • Monk: uses the power of water
  • Attack Warrior: Focus on Attack
  • Defense Warriors: Focus on defense
Pretty cool for an early MMORPG to be honest. :) It's a shame so few remember it, although the Hallyu hadn't really began back then.

Don't think I even had internet when this was a thing lol.

Mir2 was my earliest MMORPG that i could get my hands on due to you know....not being old enough to pay for internet haha

The servers were up till around 2004 I think, but I might be mistaken. My memory isn't what it used to be. Aha!

I used to back a lot of my old systems up on CD-R back then. They're in my 'computer cupboard' which contains crap going back to the mid-90s, so it might take me a while to go through old disks (assuming they still work), but I can have a look through and see if I can find anything.

Would be amazing!

And like Chriz said any old school Mir2 clients would be amazing too.Frozen 1.4 Files aren't even about anymore :( I'm sure loads would have them though but there was many cool set's of 1.4 files around. I'd suck a nipple to get my hands on ChIkOwA 1.4
