Hello,

what do you think of a Mir3 Linux server?
Is this interesting for the community?

I think its better a client for linux because you can put the server using Virtual Machines, and the Client running in a Virtual Machine has very Poor GFX acceleration.

But probably its a good start to make a open source Server in C on linux. I think you can use Net framework and can compile the Server for Windows and Linux Users.Same for Client, its a good choice. :)

I don't use linux on my personal PC because of poor gaming variety.

I don't think i'd change my personal PC to linux any time soon just for the novelty of running a server / playing a server. Just continue using windows for now.

I mean Game Server. I self write it in Delphi for Linux ;-).
I know some hate me for this but I like this language...

At the moment only Linux Server is aviable on Delphi. Linux Client things comes later after releas of the new Delphi this year.

Correct, Berlin don't support Linux...
I am at the Beta Team for the new Version "Code Name Godzila".
I can't say more at this time, but I can say it works nice...
You can same create all at your Windows System and Debug Remote like MacOS.
It is not the same as Kylix, now it is Linux native ;-)...

Another option to develop a multiplatform server / client could be .net core. It also supports iOS.

I think .net or java are much more implanted in the community.. That does not mean they are better, but there is much more documentation.

Anyway, I think it would be interesting.
