Hi Guys
I not played Mir 3 or 2 in years but got a bit of nostalgia :P
i was having probs getting Mir 3 working in win 10 and long story short it bugged me enough to find/make a fix so here you go :P
just copy these files in the main Mir Directory and run as normal but take OFF XP compatibility on the main mir3.exe's and it work great!!
but it dose take a bit longer to load (About 10-15 seconds)
tested on the Zentaur Mir 3 Client and it works for me
This now only runs with WineD3D DX8 Wrapper you can DL it from here were it has the files you need or from there site but they have a lot more file and your will have to read the readme file and test what files you need :P . Make sure to remove all old files and replace with the new ones.
let me know how it work our for you
EDIT FIX 2: OK I have had 2 successful cases of this fixing win 10 issue manual install DirectX 9c again then go to https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxglwrap/
run and install. It will ask if you to install direct play I allowed it do not know if it make difference. When its installed you will get a new screen.
Select the TOP option and press APPLY and it will inform you it is installed.
initially make sure you have not got my previous fix installed as I believe it will conflict and make sure you manual install DirectX 9c again to make sure all the files are there
Here is a short preview of the fix in action. https://youtu.be/3neqrHyhnOA
if you would like to see if it is stable in hectic, action packed situations let me know and ill see what I can do
Also added a screen with some settings may help but I really do not know
EDIT (15/04/17): I found another problem with the last patch. it was causing the screen to get really bright and disable the spell effects and mini map I have updated the Attachment with a more stable build that seems to stop that from happening and it also fixes the text and font colours.
