Trying to find a floor tile to match this wall, can't for the life of me find one that looks right. Just seem to be going in circles now. (Ignore the random floor tiles)

Anyone know what map its actually from, or what tile it uses?

Cheers.

Part of me wants to say Red Moon Valley, but that can't be right.

Are you sure this is a mir2 tileset?

I'm using the standard Crystal files, with Akaras object's nothing added myself.
RM is more of a green 'moss' covered cave.
I've been through all the Shando & Mir3 tiles too, just in case.

It's in WemadeMir2 > Objects12
(Ignore the back image reference, that's just the black tiles behind)

Lunar Cave, or at least the default Lunar Cave on the Crystal Source does, map names are;

Hell301
Hell302
Hell303
Hell304

Hope this helps!

I've analysed this map, cross referenced it against the entire map collection I have this end, and can confirm 100% that yes, that is definitely cobwebs.

The walls are completely different. :numbness:
OK your right, the Hell30x floor tiles fit OK. Thanks.
Tho there doesn't seem to be a matching tile set, just 5 stand alone tiles 3350-60~

There is also loads of spiders!

Argh~ it is a really nice looking map, i found a purple-ish tile that doesn't look too bad but it still doesn't match the edges the 'fluff' tiles use.

I kinda never fell in love with RMV dank mossy cave type when we got it in patch on euro. Seems like the trend is to cave appearance where everything is fuzzy, without definite outlines, making it more difficult to 'see', orient oneself. I like much more cave types like WT, ZT, BDD (deeper in) even BC is still ok, I liked casino 'maze like' beginning as you went in, also recent Torozor pics were strikingly nice, too bad I couldn't swing it to run it as local server. Another example of the bad trend is cave transitions in PC, PSC, where its hard to tell door way passage till you are pretty well in it, no nice portal like some cave have, say BDD deeper in.

Maybe because of this preference, I don't see why you fuss with some matching (just that purplish color I admit is weird but that's just color, seams look just fine :very_drunk:), seems ok to me on all pics you show, same %^&* and 'it don't matter anyway' if you asked me :positive:

Because if I'm going to spend my time doing something (last 2 maps took over a week each) I am sure as hell going to do it right. Not using matching tiles sticks out like a sore thumb.

Some people probably wouldn't notice, or care, but i do.

Nah I completely agree. Been fiddling with maps myself lately and it has to look right thematically or what's the point.

Default maps seem so lazy in comparison.
Just found 30+ objects for the theme, but the original maps use the same single skeleton object repeatedly, even tho there's 20+ variations.

Will release them once i have converted as i don't recall seeing them in Akaras release. (Could be mistaken tho)

Try scrolling thru all of them when working on a 500x500 map it sucks. They are lazy In areas but their maps are soo crammed I doubt they worry bout little things. On editor I got somebody coding these will be toggled with arrows and clicking allowing for random placement (may ask for random object tool).

Yeah it takes a really long time. On the maps I've done so far (300x300 and 400x400) i tried to make sure every 2x2 screen size does not contain the same object variations. Helps to be organized first, only have the objects your using for the map in the list, and sorted in sub categories etc.

I'm probably being a bit too OCD in placements to be fair as the effort vs visual result doesn't always translate in game. But that comes with practice i guess.

Whereas a poor hate of mine is pet attributes. ****ing pets, you ain't no main character, get your NPC self out of here with your 'Ooh, but I give 12 stamina'.

On a serious note, you have someone doing this for you do you mean?
