Have to say after playing about with this, it's amazing, great for keeping layout the 'same' for different browser sizes.
I found the talk and his enthusiasm very inspiring and it got me back into my web work !
It's the obvious route for CSS to take and having hand coded CSS and HTML for a while, it will halve the workload.

Check gridbyexample.com too if you haven't already. Contains examples, easy videos...

Glad you found it of interest.

This is very interesting and its a good concept, but in my experience not a huge problem positioning elements unless you are overly fussy.

I've been creating a website from scratch using grid for the layout, in the process of allowing the publishing/editing of pages, posts and products from a control panel (it currently loads that data from MySQL), awaiting images to improve the the visuals of the website, wouldn't mind some feedback on the overall style of it.

The basic concepts are good, needs some work on styling and layout improvements.

This is my eCommerce platform I am currently developing. Pretty much everything can be managed in the backend:

Front end: http://peakwebdesigns.co.uk/ecommerce/store

Backend (control Panel): http://peakwebdesigns.co.uk/ecommerce/restricted

Love to get some feedback also.

Looks ok at a glance.
There's something blocking the end of "Accessories" menu title until mouseover.

Maybe start a new thread for this ?

Guessing it's optimised for mobile as much of the content overflows to other content (text for example) I'll take a look when I'm back at pc

Edit:
Just took a look, there's no over-flow issue until the width gets to around 380px other than that looks great.
