Final instance test 02/06/16

Evening all,

I will be opening the test server up again tomorrow evening around 9pm(ish) to do a final public test on the finished 'ready for live' instancing system.
Again the files needed will be available on the patcher when we're ready to go

We invited @Stormerjack from our own forums onto our test server over the past couple of evenings to record a players perspective first look at the system, he's put alot of hours into it the last 2 days and I think done a really good job. Thank you

Currently rebooting to apply Chronicles V3.6

Changes and additions as of Chronicles V3.6:
- Instancing system added
- Recode of sabuk results page to try and stop client crashing
- ZombieMonks no longer have an unlimited supply of Bones
- Guilds that are set to 100 player limit increased to 150

Morning Mirians,

We are planning to reboot the server tomorrow at 10am to apply Chronicles V3.7, downtime will approximately be 120 minutes.

Changes and additions as of Chronicles V3.7:
  • More drop changes across multiple boss monsters and instances.
  • Database server performance enhancements.
  • Database server stability tweaks.
  • CursedWitch stats increased (to bring in line with other 60+ boss monsters).
  • Monk Mir items now have stats.
  • Armour weight adjustments across various classes
  • FateSword quest fixed for monks.
  • RedMoonSword quest fixed for monks.
  • Regular mobs in difficult instances no longer have drop multiplier.
  • Fix for viewing other players master weapons on character view.
  • Fix for PiercingShot (and other in line spells) not working in small maps (SOKS room for example).
  • Fix for using complicated passwords for private instances.
  • Dynamic light skip adjuster added to settings tab - Adjusting this could increase FPS for those with poor graphics cards.
  • ThunderClap will no longer jump over monsters/players.
  • ThunderClap will no longer cause yellow stun effect.
  • ThunderClap will now hit even if jump fails.

As always let us know if you experience any issues in game, the database server enhancements have change core code (which I prefer not to change unless completely necessary).

With the success of the last set of announcements (being both well received from the community and giving us, the development team a clear direction) we have decided to announce our plans for the next 6 - 8 weeks, along with estimated go live dates.




Return of Shenron - 03/07/2016
Due to the interest in the Christmas event, Shenron the mighty Blue Dragon will make a regular appearance ingame. He is designed to be an alternative to Super Oma King Spirit for players to battle over on the frosty out skirts of the frozen provinces.

Bug fixes and drop changes - 17/07/2016
As always, we like to try and stay on top of our bug list and backlog, so we will be using the 17th reboot slot to apply a number of bug fixes as well as introducing another large batch of drop changes across a number of boss monsters.

New temple and monsters - 31/07/2016
A new breed of frozen demons has reached our lands and are ready to test the skill and power of our heroes. Will you stand up arms against these frosty abominations? Four floors of waves of monsters to keep you entertained on your journey to the Kings Room. The latest monsters have never been seen before in European Mir and will contain brand new and unique monster artificial intelligence.

New items and level cap increase - 14/08/2016
In august we will be introducing another wave of items for level 65+ and increasing the cap to level 70 (five level increase), allowing old and new players to reach higher heights and defeat harder foes.

August bank holiday event - 26/08/2016
We are planning to host a small event starting on 26/08/2016 and ending on 29/08/2016 in order to celebrate the last bank holiday of the year until Christmas. No details have been decided as of yet and we are open to suggestions, so let us know what you would like to see via our ******** page or via the Forums

We are planning a server reboot tomorrow at 10am.

Changes and additions as of Chronicles V3.8:
- Potential fix for character freezing when teleporting while casting a spell
- Fix for rested exp randomly been lost
- Level 51, 52 accessories added back into mid range instance bosses
- Instance benes and gems item limit increased to 52
- Fix for instance gems not working on stat required items
- Fix for instance benes level requirement
- Difficult instance drops reverted for non KR instances
- Revive window no longer closes when escape key is pressed
- RevivalRing no longer brakes on dura 0
- ThousandSwords no longer needs a target
- Ranger pet name now blank even with 'Show Monster Name' option turned on
- Fix for StaticShot initial fire not showing on players
- Deva buff time increased
- Deva will no longer buff Ranger pets
- Wizards can now walk and manually cancel MeteorStrike/Blizzard
- Taoists can now walk and manually cancel Resurrection
- Fix for PowerShot not repulsing if damage = 0
- Archer spells not working with new bows fixed
- HP/MP Recovery stat calculation changed to match official
- Shenron (Blue Dragon) added to Crystal Peaks.
- Frozen Province renamed to Crystal Province

The following additions/changes have been made as of Chronicles V3.9:
- EvilMir no longer de-levels when inactive.
- MagicResistance changed to official calculation for PvP only.
- RedOrchid set can no longer be stacked; meaning only one bracelet and one ring will be effective.
- Various DB Server stability issues addressed.

We had to revert our db server changes to the previous release due to unexpected issues, we will likely do a reboot next week to try and address the performance issues we are seeing.

Changes/Additions as of Chronicles V4.0:
- 5 Brand new province monsters added to Crystal Mountain (including a sub)
- 1 New temple added to Crystal Mountain.
- 10 Brand new monsters added for Crystal Temple including 1 Super, 1 Sub and 1 Super Boss.

We are still working and will likely update this thread with more changes before the reboot in the morning.

A message to all Heroes,

Activity amongst the Omas suggests that they may be attempting to flee their lair in Castle Gi Roonge

Bichon experts who have studied the Omas for many years believe they are attempting to migrate to higher ground because Castle Gi Roonge is at risk of floods
at the end of the summer. The experts have said that due to the unusual increase in activity in the Crystal Mountains, more ice than usual is expected to melt
and the water produced by this process will flow down to the lowest point in the land of Mir, Castle Gi Roonge.

Our inside sources have informed us that the first wave of Omas attempting to migrate to a new location will occur on the 26th August, and that the Omas
will be trying to move the loot and gold that they have stolen from the bodies of previous heroes.

Heroes, the Oma have been our foes for as long as our ancesters can remember, and although they may not be very strong, their intelligence is great!
If we allow the Oma to migrate to different area's in our land they could form alliances with other races and overwealm us once again! We must not allow
this to happen!

The Bichon Council implore you to join us on August 26th to take up arms and push the Oma hords back into their cavern!

Bichon Administration Office

The event is planned to start on the 26th at 8pm and finish on the 29th at 8pm. The event is aimed at all players, and is designed to provide gold and expiry items.

Further information on the event:
- Waves of Oma's and OmaCourier's will be trying to move their goods across various province maps.
- The OmaCourier's will have a good chance of dropping time expiry items.
- Time expiry items include level 50-65 gear that have had their level and weight dramatically reduced.
- Time expiry items will expire after 7 days (roughly).
- Drops from OmaCouriers will not be bound to the last person to hit the monster (jump those drops yo!)
- Couriers will drop on various occasions before they die.

Reboot will start at 8pm.

There will be global announcements at start and end of spawn waves and also map shouts if Couriers are spotted on one of the above maps

Some changes that have been made as part of having to upgrade the server for the event:
- Fix for thunderclap not jumping over dead mobs
- Fix for rested exp not showing with exp filter option on
- Potential fix for displacement bug when attacking while changing maps
- Reduce damage sent to shenron from body parts (essentially gives him more hp)
- Shenron spawn announcement
- Fix for scenario where blizzard/meteor can hit after been cancelled

A lot of server side has also been adjusted in preparation for a big future release, if you notice any issues please let us know asap.

Is the event still active? Am I late?
How does it work?


Nevermind...I regret going in-game.
Basically, worst event on chronicles so far.
50-60temporary items dropping then the drop files got nerfed to I think 45-55.
When I saw the ad I thought it might be a nice little event, it turned out to be an event for team/forsaken and a pkfest.
