Hi ive found a decent enuff dedi to run my server but im just wondering
What OS is best to get

Would mir2/mir3/etc run on Windows server 2003?

would i have to use an XP server like i am atm?

How about linux?

any ideas thanks alot for replys

any other info i could use im not eli good at this stuff i just got the money

what specs the lowest i could go?

bandwith wise?

ram wise?

do i need a dedi or vps?

whats diffrence?

Higher the bandwith and upload the better
specs dont really count any dedi server will have enough to cope

One question do they know it will be used to host a mir server???

yea im in a live chat session with them now that was first question i ask would i be able to run my mmorpg on ur dedi they said 2 mins let me check
and then reply yes no problems

aparently i get an os setup (win srv 2k3) and then i get full acsess to do what i want with my serv

specs r:

Intel Celeron CPU 1.7 or Higher
512MB RAM
IDE HDD 60GB or Higher
500 GB Monthly Transfer
$49 Setup Fee Now FREE! :P

for about max 30 ppl on serv this ok?

Sign up for a month and see what happens (a sort of test run)
and then if its all ok pay for more

Specs are fine, Mir 2 can run on far less then that
Its more about the upload speed

just asked bandwith as site didnt say i got the reply:

the servers are 10mb/s By default
But you can upgrade to 100mb/s for free!


that the upload rite? that good 100?
