.... as u cn tell frm the title has any1 got a link for me to dl a extention changer lol i wnt to change a file frm .dat to .exe and btw c-net downloads dl does not work ..... lol

You want to convert a file that could be practically anything into an executable?

Sorry Dano but thats just not going to work. Unless you change the extension of the file yourself and it works - the *.dat file probably isn't an executable.

Perhaps if you provide more details we can be of more assistance.

Meh, he wants to change the mir.dat to mir.exe as the exe he has isn't the correct one for his server.

Right, open up my computer or any folder you want. Press tools then folder options, then view then in that list, find and untick "hide extensions for known file tyoes". Now go to the mir.dat file you want to rename, and then change the .dat in the end to .exe .
