Ideal Computer to host a 1.9 server?

got a 4megabite download and a 4megabite Upload Line.

which i know is good another to play and host on the same Computer...

Wondering what specs i would need to go wif that......(Want to play and host)

Got atm

1.5ghz
512ram
and the latest Ge-force graphics card...think its ge-force...Ge summat :rofl:

Graphics card doesn't matter when hosting. RAM and Processor does, and of course internet speeds. A 4mb upload is very good.

Depends on the size of the server really, playing and hosting on the same PC is never really a good idea, as higher specs are needed, which equals more money. What sort of budget were you looking at?

With 512 it won't be fine. Mobs will lag. About 512 is needed for the server itself, and another 512 for the ledu client.

well atm im hosting on exactly what you have as we speak BUT i alos have a differ pc to play the server on so x-mas i suggest u get a cheap rubbish pc to play it on and host on that then u will be ok i shud think

and mhz does not define a cpu.

Urban is there any point maxing out your memory to 4GB? (I heard no one program can utilise all this... but since its the max XP can support, won't it be preferable to have it o.O?)

I wouldn't bother with more than 2GB, but that's just me. I would probably use win2k3 for a server anyway.
