LF Corei5 or i7 Host

Looking for a hosting provider that provides i5 or i7 processors on its host

Xeon processors seem to be not as viable for running the server, not sure on AMD as never tried

Any advise, need it asap

AMD zen cpus are pretty solid. I think Hetzner got some good reviews by some community members.

You don't need a Xeon processor for a Crystal server, an i5 would manage, heck a recent i3 probably would.

It's already on a server, but shifting it over for beta takes like 10 minutes

Just thought no point testing on an environment not equivalent to live is all haha

Server ordered n such anyway, just waiting for them to provision it (manual as I had a request for it)

Will be sorted within next hour or so


Please note in the beta, its still very much a 'draft' of the game.
We've done a lot of work, but I am not saying its ready for live (hence the beta)

All feedback & suggestions just need to be constructive so we can get the most out of the beta.
Any bugs or issues, just report them as they are and we can fix it.

CBT accounts will be allocated to the users selected

when OBT starts:
OBT will wipe and allow users to create their own accounts

Live will obviously wipe again for the live launch

ye, i will say that 7700 will be a massive upgrade over a 6700 when you're hosting mir
also the reason why most xeons arent as suited = you're only looking at the name xeon and not the spec (xeons are more expencive but the bare minimum isnt any faster then a regular i3 so you're likely trying to use a cpu similar to an i3 consumer grade to run mir, not recommeneded )

extra 200mhz base clock and verry tiny increase in overall efficiency.
easely a few hundred/thousand mobs extra spawned before you get bad lag.

in mir it can be no difference at all, or if you're at that edge already night and day difference
