[RunDB] DB Wait Error

I made a server with Working3.55 and works fine, now im trying to make anotherone with LS-Chinesse with same configuration but the CruelDragonMir3G.exe gives me this error "[RunDB] DB Wait Error " after it loads maps, db, etc..

Any idea?

only times ive seen or heard of this error is on low spec systems, i think its like lag connecting to SQL, 1 of the things Kaori said i think was to go onto task manager and put cruel dragon at a lower priority, or clean your machine :P lol

still not working, when i log in with my character it says me im connected after wait some seconds but i cant see nothing, but sounds works :/

what specs is the host machine?

i tried it on 2 PCs

Pentium IV 2.8GHz
2GB RAM
Ati Raedon 9600Pro (im not sure about it)


Intel Core Duo 2 2.03GHz x2
512RAM
Crappy video card

Well ive done some searches and Mir2 has the same problem so its not jsut the files or anything its definately a RAM issue, i really do suggest at least a clean up or maybe a reformat.
I can't see you gettin the problem on the 2gb ram server but on a 512 it would be more than likely

You setup your odbc right?

Also it could be that you put your mapfolder path in dbserver. Try put this C:\Mud3\Envir\.

Should work.

that wouldnt bring up that error, dbwaiterror is system resource related

It doesn't matter which set of files you use, DB[WAIT] is a common issue with performance between CD and SQL and mainly due to not enough CPU processor power being used for SQL. This is due to CD using 100% of the resource and not allowing other heavey resource programs to work correctly.

To resolve issue's like this, just set the priority on both CD and SQL to 50% - This is usually below normal if you machine has less than 2GB mem and using a lesser CPU of 2.4Ghz.

mhh another question is why u would work with ls3g m8 ?? i had both running the only thing what is better on ls3g is that cheating is nearly impossible. but for all other 3.55 is better (store at hunt as example a script that allows u to give an item in bag a npc function that call as example a store npc unimportend where u are also in temples or caves) also lvlcapture 255 u havent on 3.55 all in one u have much more possibilities with 3.55 as with 3.38

with the fetures from dbwait error geo and mapa have right it comes from ur recources from pc (3.38 ls3g) is older as (3.55 holley) so it have other specifications in using ram / cpu
