Hi,

A lot of youtube videos have some really nice introductions which shows off their 'company' such as TB

Obviously there are a lot out there. But in general what would people use to make these? I've never really been that good at artwork (minimal photoshop skills) but i'm wondering if its worth giving a try.

Can't be that hard right?

AfterEffects would be the main program alot of people use, tons to tutorials out there to help you out and they are pretty simple to learn from also.

I use After Effects, Vegas and Cinema4d.
Same here.

After Effects to create logos and loops.
Sony Vegas Pro with Boris Continum Complete, to create the visual effects for my intros.

Sony Vegas for creating visual effects? Sony vegas is crap for that, thats should be done in After Effects. The only time sony vegas comes in handy is when you need to render under different formats but for editing it sucks.

does anyone know of any websites which have good free video intros for after effects? Obviously theres videohive for reasonably cheap videos, but unless you pay 10x the price they aren't royalty free (i think thats the word), so i can't use them on all my youtube videos.

I really don't have any time spare to learn after effects well enough to produce something high quality.

anyway, anyone have any sites they can recommend? I'm looking for a short 5 second intro for my youtube channel. Preferably something particle based, as i think these look really cool. But would like a site with a wide choice as i can get quite choosy.
