Shanda (Nasdaq:SNDA) released a new version, V1.970 or "Hang Hui Feng Yun," of its in-house developed MMORPG The World of Legend (Woool) in one server farm on February 3. The version adds a new virtual item system, virtual items, a system to confer official guild positions and a new playing mode to the game.

Shanda confirmed Thursday that it has named online columnist Wang Xiaoshan editor-in-chief of the culture department at Shanda Literature's Qidian.com. Wang formerly served as culture department director of The Beijing News, reports Sohu.
