Possibly reopening Samurai Mir 3

Right guys, basically after a lot of hard thinking, and a lot of thought about the servers that are out at the moment, I have decided to look into putting Samurai back online.

I'm looking for feedback from players about this. Who would play if I re-open the server, and what features would people like to see?

All this is dependent on me being able to get either someone to host or a dedi line. Either way I hope to reopen it asap.

Id play but servers never seem to hold my interest for longer than a day.

What features would this server include? I played this server but i cant remember yesterday let alone a few weeks/months ago so im not sure what sort of server this was. :thumbup2:

Well, has all the latest caves from Korean, Lava, GoldenPalace and MoonRiverAbyss, also checking out the other new maps as possibilities. Also guildpoints system and guild hunting area's with exclusive drops only available there. Also going to be putting a guild castle system in. Looking for suggestions for other things to put in, if there is enough demand may put class hunting area's and maybe a group cave as well.

LOL one thing surprises me, people are saying they would play. But not a single suggestion as to what people want in a server lol.

Yeh put it back up as stated people are bored with most mir3 servers online, I think to boost your user count, You could do x2 EXP Event for the first 2 days. Perhaps introduce a new starting stage for your server too, Where you have to perhaps do some small quests to qualifie to enter this real world of samurai.

If your clever you do something along the lines of this,

When you login you cant go anywhere else apart from the start room your in with 1 npc that levels you say level 40, and gives you a lvl 40 kit, you would then have to battle through 2 caves and slay a boss, Slaying the boss perhaps returns you to the starter level but say + 5 lvls then teleports you to town and as stated some sort of EXP reward for however long you feel is required.

Just a couple of suggestions as no 1 else stated any.

Only problem with that, is it would make all the kit to lvl 40 obsolete. Considering I've redone all the kit to a formula, I would have to start again which I am reluctant to do. New players do get a starter kit, which is more than adequate if you ask me. It doesn't take long at all to level if you hunt in groups as a lot of caves have group bonus. Also the experience required to level up until level 50 I think has been lowered to make levelling to that level a lot easier. I may run some sort of event for the first few days and may possibly make a starter area. Right now, I was really looking for ideas for features in the game that will make the game better in the long term. I have plenty of caves in the game to hunt in, so players shouldn't get too bored too soon as it works out the new caves in game should be adequate for at least 10 levels before players move on to a higher level cave.

I'm also playing around with Mon-AI to try and make bosses different to what people are used to, to make it a challenge thats fun but not an impossible one. I don't want people to hit the top level for each cave and be able to kill a boss in 1-2 hits, thats boring. Personally I see bosses as they should be tough, keeping you on your toes and making you really fight to slay them. Hopefully that will work the way I want it to but we'll see. I'll probably be testing a few new things until the server is live so will see how things go.

Nothing to worry about, its not like it was anything special, buggy, unfinished....and id be surprised if that changed.

Well yeah still looking to re-open the server as soon as I can get a new dedi line. Problem is I don't have a BT line atm and need to get one, but dont wanna go with BT so it's finding one that is reasonably priced and will reactivate the existing bt line which is disconnected.

Takes you a long time to get one....if I remember correctly its one of the reasons you shut down isnt it? how long has it been exactly? where is this dedi line? pluto? =/

lol yeah its taking a while as I have more important things to pay out for so keep putting it back until other things are sorted. It aint easy finding a decent isp for a reasonable price, I've just ordered broadband from orange, hope its set up soon so I can get the server back online.

I might give Mir 3 a go again. Only thing that puts me off Mir 3 is that most of the armours and weapons look the same at higher levels.

Will there be more armours and stuff on this server? And I take it this will be a lowrate? :P

guild point system bigtime guild house your a good gm. maybe something like penal/hell and not using integrals or meds. If yur pking, not pvp, guards having lots of dc and can drop all your bag when yu go red.

it aint fun people can either kill guards, or not be affected by them....
