ok i tryed doing the front limit n back limit but when i click it doesnt show there placing down on the map so i know where i have cover and i use the exact same version editor as you only thing i dont have on mine i think that you have is MiniMap is there a way to do the front/back limit more...

hey guys i have made an object via the new mapedior and saved as an object then i put it in the objects folder in the data folder and it appears in the list but then when i click it and use the Place Object nothing appears for me to place ? any ideas ? what am i doing wrong ? does anyone know ???

so you mean i move the .X object in to a folder named Grass for example ? and is there not a way to get the old editor working with these as i know how to use the old one

yes i totally agree my friend and bundling them up sounds like an amazing idea but how do i go about doing that ? and it doesnt allow me to zoom out so i can see the full map so when i makea map its only so much i can fill in and the rest is black because i cant get to it to place tiles down...

Far thats not what i am worried about right now to be honest what i want is how to actually put down more then one tile at a time and can you put in full trees or do you have tiles in each pice i am asking these things because i am learning this i have never used this in my life

ok but its only putting one tile down when i click on the map doesnt continuously apply the tile if i hold click down i have to click again and in each one i dont know where certain tiles are ?

I have tryed everything like that still nothing if I also put the mapedit.exe on it's on in client root folder it doesn't load the program up if I add it with the config files with it , it then just creates a new object folder which I already have someone said somthing about compiling it or...

so i have this but none of the .X files show up in there should they be showing up ? and is this map edit going to work for making maps or is it to actually create .X files as thats not what i want i want a functional mapedit that i cancreate maps with the Tiles are just showing up white in...

ok well i understand that your saying find the source code i dont understand what code i am looking for i am very basic at this and dont really have a clue of what code i need and theres is loads of infomation on here in regards to code so i could end up getting the wrong one

ok can you link me to this source code then and where do i get visual studio from? how do i know if mine are alread compiled and what version they are compiled in 32/64?

compile ? how do i know if its been compiled should they be .x files after a compile or is that the start ?

i have i have checked i have the latest version of framework

oh right well should my objects folder have .X files in them ? and the newest map editor doesnt work for me i just get a spinning windows loading wheel then does nothing
