So I was configuring SmartShop in Sainsburys tonight while shopping some stuff for weekend in, and unexpectedly, it has offered me biometrics for my phone.

So now when unlocking my phone, it has biometric prompt.

Had anyone got this experience with their mobile phone? Having biometrics or do you just use pass / pin ?

I use biometrics for everything, but its unreliable and only works 90% of the time so I have pins/passes on stuff too incase my fingerprint doesn't work

So you’re saying the smart shop app can now be opened via biometrics?
It's with your fingerprint.

I held my finger down for a number of seconds to configure it.

I find it experimental.

Face ID is effortless 99.99% of the time you’re looking at your phone when you’re wanting to use it so it just instantly works.

Touch ID used to be ok, but I never go back to a phone without Face ID now tbh.
