Gates not opening???

Can people post all the possible reasons why my gates arent opening?....i swear i have tried everything and they jus stay shut plz can i have some top notch replies :P

make sure the server name is right in your clients "ftp.ini"

check the server names are correct in

C:\korea\mud2\Logsrv\!addrtable.txt
C:\korea\mud2\DBSrv200\dbsrc.ini
C:\korea\Mir200\!setup.txt
