Global Forum Rules
1. Flaming only in hall of flame - Offending post deleted or thread moved top H.O.F - warning to repeat offenders.
2. No abusing staff for doing their job legitamately - Warning
3. Intentional Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, or related offences - Warning to Permanent ban, depending on severity of comments made.
4. No pornography or offensive material in any form, such as avatars, siggys, links, attachments - warning to ban depending on severity and amount.
5. No posting of viruses or Mir cheats or requsts for either - Instant ban
6. Signature sizes not to over 600x180 pixels - removal of signature, warning for repeated offence.
7. Dont Knowingly post in wrong forum eg, Server ad in Mir2 chat becuase more people read it - Warning
8. Repeated accidental posting in wrong forum - Warning
9. No Posting of irrelevant comments, spam - repeated offence = warning
10. Do not imitate staff or other forum members - Ban
11. Absue of forum bugs, the PM system or any part of the forum, or informing members of bugs/exploits - Ban
12. Members who have been previously banned/or have offended before will receive less tolerance than those who havent
13. Frequant, repetitive offending will result in an account ban, if you repeat the same offence in a short time you may be banned.
I know rules have been posted, but this way members know the consequences of their actions, and we can come to agreement about certain subjects, i think most situations call for staff discretion.
Server Advertisement Rules
1. Advertisements must include an IP and Servername, plus any information relating to connecting to the server, its upto owners whether to include additionalities. Not including IP and Name - Deletion of post
2. Servers must be online when the post is made, If a server goes offline the thread wil be removed after 24 hours of inactivity without a valid reason, or removed after 72 hours with a valid reason. Posts may be moved to Recycle bin and recovered at PM reqeust when server is back online - warning to repeat offenders
3. Posts requesting server information is not allowed - warning to repeat offenders
4. Double posts are not allowed - warning
5. Only Server Owners or Hosts may post an advertisement - warning to non owners or hosts.
6. Replies must be about the server, posting inforamtion about other servers, or spam is not allowed, serious repetition - replies removed + warning.
7. Unfair or unjust flaming of a server is not allowed - warning
(constructive criticism is allowed, as is posting about corrupt GMing, as long as its truthful and justified)
8. You can bump your advertisement once per day without having to make an informative post, doing this more than once will result in a warning. (expection below)
9. A new post can only be made if your old post has been removed (if it reaches the second page and your server is still online it can be legitamately bumped back to the first)
10. Its recomended that new information edited into your first post, and also posted in as a reply to bump the post legitamately.
Forums and Posts - What belongs where
Announcements - used ot make Global announcements, Members may comment but spam, flaming etc in there results in removal of the reply, and a warning.
Server reviews - Reveiw of servers, with consturctive criticism only, no flaming or spam.
Complaints, comments and suggestions - Anything which is considered to be constructive Criticism, no flaming or spam. Comments on layout, possible forum additions, rules, etc are examples
Mir2 and Mir3 Chat - Any information and general discussion of private servers, upcomming releases, developments, and news relating to the forum title.
Mir2 and Mir3 Advertisements - Exactly what it says on the title, for Advertising and promoting your server, and for people to discuss them exclusively withing the thread relating to the server.
Mir2 and Mir3 Help - Reqeuests or Providing help to members of the community with difficulties, or requests for software, Please use search before you post.
General Server chat - Use this to discuss Servers in general, make comparisons between servers, but dont directly or indirectly advertise servers, such as constantly refering to them (kinda like trying to sell it to someone - if u want to do this refer them to the advertisement) or by including the IP or servername in the post
Server Forums - Exclusive discussion of the server that the forum is for, no discussin of other servers or other topics inside these forums.
Off-topic - the place provided for you to discuss the irrelevancies that cannot be posted in other areas. This is not to be used as a place of flame or insult, and this wont be tolerated.
Personal computer help - Get help or information about Computers in general, not to be used to discuss games etc, unless requests such as hardware requirements etc are being made.
Hall of Flame - Place for you to take your arguements, its provided for that sole purpose, Most forum rules dont apply, Exceptions are noted at the top of the forum.
Computer Games - Discussion of both console games and other online games.
Test forum - use it to look at ur new avatars or signatures, if u change it/dont like it etc, dont post again, just edit your old post etc to get the changes to take effect.
Legend of Mir (Euro) - Discussion of Euro mir and Euro mir only, this int the forum for the buying and selling of characters, just general Euromir discussion.
Legend of Mir marketplace (Euro) - Sell items and Characters etc (since its what its used for mainly)

4. No illegitamate flaming - ie. Flaming someone for the hell of it, this will be regarded as spam, and dealt with as such
5. Threads may only be locked at starters request, replies which break rules may be removed.
6. Someone who is being flamed cannot make a new post to flame their flamer, they must argue it out in the first thread. IF they wish to continue an arguement after the thread is closed it may be re-opened under request by either the Flamer or the person being flamed. If it is opened for the person who was being flamed, the first post must be editied to inclued this information.
