right i have a problem with the java stuff, i cant click on links propely unless i copy and paste em then i can and e.g. like when i wanna see the smilies when posting, it dont work, what do i need to do?

The thing ur describing is Javascript, try reinstalling Internet Explorer, or the Service Pack 1 for it.
