iPhone Tethering using USB/USB C

Hi Guys,

I have really bad internet at home so when I'm downloading files so I was using my iPhone plugged in.

Tried to do it via cable as it's way faster and more stable but for some reason it won't connect to my laptop now, only via WIFI.

Long shot posting on here but I thought someone might be able to help me with it.

When you plug it in do you get anything pop up on the phone?
