i can find out what important files my computer is missing?

My mir wont work, i just get a grey screen that takes like 3/4 ofthe screen up.
my media player works but with no sound
and when i try load up CM4 (champ man 4) it says im missing a .DLL file and summat bout sound (ill get exactly what it says)

ive tried reinstalling mir
reinstalling media player
reinstalling CM4 and patching it up (tried like 5 times)

Seems like the entire machine is jst a mess.

Reinstall windows hun... or even better, format ur HD then install windows.

dsound.dll is part of DirectX, the basis for most multimedia in Windows.

Try reinstalling DirectX ( http://www.microsoft.com/directx/ ) or if you can't stomach a hefty download you could search for the DLL on http://www.dll-files.com/
If you have any recent games there might be a DirectX installer on there, but it's probably best to get the latest version from the website.
