I'm trying to get a feel for how to balance the leveling grind for Nexus. Please answer the attached Poll accurately.

Atm my current plan is to have 730 hours worth of leveling (1 month), this means that if you leveled for 5 hours a day for 146 days straight (4.7 months) then you would reach the level cap. (Please bare in mind that this calculation doesn't include the use of experience potions)

Start level is 26, level cap is 100
I'll have it be fairly easy until about level 70 where the last 30 levels will ramp up in time per level ect

depends on how spread out content is , are some caves locked or can a gro just go into a high and power lvl

All hunting caves are unlocked (a level 26 can go into a level 90+ cave but obviously will die if alone), theres leveling caves every 10 levels too however they are level restricted

Theres 18 hunting caves in total and they're spread out as below:

I should also note: theres a PvP/Pk system in place where if you get PK'd then your Exp gets reset to 0% and the Pker gains a %age of the experience you had when you died.
The % you get depends on the name colour of the person you kill

If it’s a popular server be prepared for paid levellers levelling 24 hours a day and hitting your cap in 2 weeks using potions in a group and hitting the high unlocked caves

I think most casuals will do 1 - 2 hour pure levelling per day on average

For me, it isn't how quick I level, its about how rewarding it is to level.

If I have to grind hours to get a level, that gives me nothing, then rinse and repeat so I only really get any new kit / stuff every 5 level increments it puts me off.
If most levels have a new piece of kit to work for, or other incentives then I dont mind the grind.

I don't expect to get stuff every level, but say having to grind from 40-44 to get any new kit and it takes days of work, it just gets too boring of a grind, where if you say 44 is your "big level" but 41 and 43 have some equipment options unlocked, then it just adds that feel of progress.

Also yes you will have the 24/7 Levelers, however if you balance around them, you will tend to make the game way too slow.
What I am doing is adding in features that when you hit the cap, you can work on alternative grinds until the cap is released.

When you think you have the best leveling speed for your content. Make it 2/3 harder, maybe even 5/6 if you introduce experience buffs. :)
