Also When you have upgraded from ME to XP
you can convert the hard drive from FAT32 to NTFS
without using the normal FDISK and Format by using tha following comands

To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
Open Command Prompt.
In the command prompt window, type
convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

For example, typing
convert D: /fs:ntfs
would format drive D: with the ntfs format. leaving all programs and information on the hard drive intact unlike normal Fdisk and Format which wipe the hard drive clean

Notes

To open command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt. this opens a DOS Window in XP.

You can convert FAT or FAT32 volumes to NTFS with this command.
You cannot revert back to FAT32 with this command
