Really seems to be taking off...Obviously pubG fortnite been around not sure if that’s good or bad but some very interesting names cropping up..

* Black Desert Mobile 2019
* Path of Exile Mobile 2020
* Diablo Immortal 2020
* League of Legends “Wild Rift”
* CallOfDuty

There the ones that scream out at me, no sign of an English iOS Mir .... “yet”

Maybe LOMCN should have a forum section for Mobile Gaming?

Like it or not it’s happening.

I think the only mobile game I ever played was Pokemon GO >_>

and some stupid stick men fighting game which I'm SURE doesn't count

9.9 times out of 10 I'd rather do something else

Initially like little mobile games, Clash of clans, TWD No Mans Land, Touch Tycoon, Mario kart and few Football manager games that sort of thing.

But literally don't think any have lasted more than 2 weeks, usually get boring quickly, forget to login in daily for some reward and then of course micro transactions which plague pretty much all mobile games.

Proper mobile gaming like Fortnite/PUBG are just far too taxing on the battery and fiddly on a phone, if you can play it on a console when you get home, why wouldn't you?

Oh Pokemon Go, I enjoyed that for a few weeks, but being an adult with responsibilities, couldn't keep up and got bored of being slapped by high level pokemon at the occasional gym I passed enroute to somewhere ha. If I was a kid again, this sort of game would have had me out in parks all hours. Though that would have been in the day when we all loved staying out in the park on bmx's, playing football til it got dark anyway, and we had to go home :D

Only ever found 1 mobile game that wasn't pay to win. And that was only because referrals were unlimited and they had no bot checkers so auto-clickers ruled. Other than that most are heavy pay to win. Usually zero skill needed.

Mobile gaming are fun for while your at work or in a queue at mcdonalds..Other than that theyre ****in shite xD

No thanks. Rather drink piss.

I was like that until FF7 grabbed me and I thought yeah y not have another blast in wall market on me phone when I’m bored...and there’s no sign of a PS1 in my gaff no more.

Hadn’t even heard of TFT until I just googled it, I’m sure millions gonna be on that band wagon!

As sad as it is me and the wife “and the kids” drove up and down Southend sea front getting bare magikarp to evolve and when we found a snorlax whilst walking the dog I genuinely flipped my lid 😂

Never been into BD might have missed out there but I was into POE purely as a casual and really enjoyed the massive skill tree to spend hours planning my route ... which ended up being totem build which was OP and actually made it abit boring after a while.

Clash of clans was fun at first until thing started taking 4 days to build and u would literally log on collect log off sooooo boring.

Gone are the days of staying out drinking 20/20 and hanging round the half pipe and greasing up a kerb with ya roller blades or tossing a ball playing kerbsy (a game that was so simple but loved it....especially pulling off a backwards throw for double points, and catching the rebound)

Nowadays kids don’t go out, they play games and go online and are into tiktok and online socialising....mobile gaming is or will be the biggest industry by far in the near future.

I played an Age of Empires type game on my kindle once, when I was bored in the hotel mid-typhoon.
Does that count?

I can't think of a single situation where I would actively choose to play a game on my phone/tablet out of choice.

added this for now

Will actually quit LOMCN in protest....kill that with fire...now!

Don't support the trash excuse that is Mobile Gaming...we already have Triple A companies going down that route for the sake of money, don't go supporting such bullshit or the already struggling real Gaming market will be dead and buried within our lifetime.

i have not really looked into tablets to play mobile games, but is there basic specs you would need to play some of these games? i dont know if you can frankenstein a tablet. is there average specs you need to run all these games? would a cheap tablet work? i figure the more $$ you spend the better of course.

anyone with knowledge of mobile gaming tablets could you let me know of basic cost of a tablet that would run most of these games, name of the tablet? and depending on your knowledge of the topic, do you have any recommendations for best bang for buck tablets that run the high end mobile game?

ty =)

That depends on the game. If you want to play a card game you won't need a high end device. If you want to play I don't know, let's say PUGB with high graphics and good framerate you will need some expensive ****.

I can play PUGB with med-low graphics with my 150€ Redmi Note 4 which is like 3-4 years old. I also played Vainglory and Hearthstone on a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and both worked great.

I'd say you can play almost anything without having to buy a 1k phone. If you like the Chinese stuff you won't need to spend more than 150€ for a phone or more than 300€ for a tablet, and 300€ and 600€ for a "non-chinese" phone and tablet respectively.
