That's what I was thinking. Maybe it's a restriction they don't wanna put on the server, but it seems like it wouldn't cause any extra load at all... But then reset on login doesn't make much more sense though

Sorry what i meant is this.

when you kill a monster/player or what ever the kill will be registered server side, the client side (you) will not be aware of the kill untill you relog, the number does not get reset, it gets updated on relog.

I think there is no real value to update this number real time (sending it within a packet when the kill happens)

That's what I gathered. I mean everything else updates on the fly, just seemed odd to have that stat (or any) need a relog to show, with all the advanced stuff you've done seemed a bit odd. As I said it's hardly important, but it just threw me is all.

The paragon leveling work like the experience table? so once i reached cap of 50, to level paragon it would = the same experience to 51?

Server looks good and unique, i just hope you stick to the 3 classes, i can't bare to see another server bring in archer, sin or monk.

I don't really think it matters lol, its just an ego stat, i will ask ben & dale if they both want it to be real time, i will add it to my list.
I'm not gonna go into technical details but to make this work real-time the best approach is to make the clientside be aware of the kill instead of sending it over a packet from the server, and this will require effort.
Writing code is easy, but the more you write code the more likely you will have bugs. And i wrote alot of code since beta :suspicion:, No worries though I'm kinda used to it, so im always spending the extra mile testing my code but it takes time , for example that instance new feature it took 5-10 mins to do the code changes but a solid 2 hours testing the **** out of it..

Priorities really...there are a few problems within the files i hope i can tackle before going live, so im trying not to put more problems ontop of them.

It works same as the experience table yes but it's not the same experience table, it's different. lets say you are Level 50 (Current Cap), Paragon 100, and we increased the level cap from 50 to 70.
Your experience will change it'll read from the normal leveling experience table (50-51) and when you reach the new level cap 70, it'll go back to your previous paragon level experience table (100-101 Paragon)

Taken off their website - "Release Date: 07/10/2017 - 12pm"


Forum says 07/10/2017 - 12pm but the countdown on the website ends at 08/10/2017 1pm - Could prob be why people are getting confused

It's been quiet regarding the release date, We've had an internal debate about this release date, I'll be honest I'm not ready, Maybe dale & ben are but I'm not really, I have a few tasks i wanted to complete before going live but i kinda got busy the past few days.

So we've delayed the release date by 1 week. (Release Date: 14/10/2017 - 12pm)

Again We're sorry for delaying it, but it will give us more time to improve and enhance what we have today.

You have to understand once we go live we're live, There's no going back. I can't risk going in without being ready.

So i hope you guys understand. :smile-new:

The only negative thing I have been in this thread was about the idiot FIFA haters, that had nothing to do with server, please if you cant read, go back to school and learn ? Or are you still in school and you have to pay each year so you wont fall behind ?

no they released a very poorly coded server that should have been worked on a bit longer.

Delaying when you feel that you are not ready is always the best move. Ignore anyone that says otherwise. It happens everyday.

What would concern me is that unless you have done some unadvertised closed testing with a sufficient sized group, 1 day of Beta is really not enough to test things out thoroughly. And you seem to have added a bunch of new things since then.

One of the biggest failures on here is people keep releasing 'finished' servers and expect people to wait around while all the bugs/content gets fixed that should have been apparent with even the slightest amount of testing. In that time everyone moves on.

Yeah it is a big delay, when we announced the previous release date we felt we were ready, two days later i found myself coding new big features (Disenchanting etc)

These features itself wasn't hard to code instead harder to implement ingame and balance.

It could be poor planning from our side, or we're just being too careful taking extra time to do more testing and balancing before live.

The worst release date and time you could of picked, Liverpool play ManUtd at that time :beaten:.

I will let the team decide if they wanna delay the launch time that day by a few hours.

You have made the right move anyway, would much rather server be put up and stable than rushed..... a week delay is not the end of the world.

Delays are fine and honestly need to be done sometimes, don't let people whinge their way into making you change your mind just because they have nothing better to do with their sorry existences for the next 7days.

I'm sure they can load up pornhub like every other angry angst teenage kid waiting for a release game, they'll be fine.

I'd honestly recommend going live as a semi-unfinished product any way, most games seem to go this route of Early Access these days and it's less of an issue explaining why something might not be working fully or be completely finished if people understand this. Just don't make the common mistake of leaving yourself in Early Access for too long where it becomes a meme.
