yeh urban ou right looked up english prices at a reasonable site and its £128 and a 9800pro (128mb) is £290+ and the 256mb versions are from around £370 the model I stated came with O/B (onboard) Intel extreme graphics using the i845GV chipset

another question I was wondering about - how do the 845 and 865 chipset compare and compare with their O/B graphics

another question I was wondering about - where do you all get your pc's do you build your rigs? or buy?

the graphics card of an onboard video card stinks unless ur getting a new nforce mb, which is only for amd, and still it aint good. if ur just going to play mir its fine, but dont expect to play doom 3 or hl2. as for me, i normally build all my comps, for the exception of my last 2, which i bought. building urself takes the cost down a lot, but unless u know exactly what ur doing i'd advise against it. one wrong move and uve lost ur mb cpu ram easy. but what kind of comp r u buying, or do u just have a price range?

right well:

I have some family, that have money (unlike my half of the family) and they gave me a grand 4 a new pc...

I dont know if I should buy now, buy what or anything atm

I dont know if I should wait for new amd and intel chips (64 and prescott) or buy now...

I have looked and can get a 3000+, 512mb ram, cdrw, 17" TFT, 9800pro 128mb, speakers (2 sat+subwoofer), keyboard, mouse for £1100 bought, the reason I am thinking of buying is because I have never built before and this system was cheaper that seperate parts

I have £1000 (pounds)
Im thinking of buying, as I never have built before,
dont know what to get any idea's?
dont really mind what I get, but the £1000 (can be slightly over) needs to have a monitor and keyboard (and mouse)

this model:

any companys you would recommend, any spec's you'd advise?

thanks alot
