i hate this every time i look at it , i sped so much time learning php , python i think is eating it alive . My plan was to learn a nice front end after php , but now im wondering if i need to revisit another back end language , i am also worried this python thing is a fad. So im thinking c heck its been up top there for many years

I'm still a noob in this department in middle of 6 year degree as doing it part time. I find these charts cool to look at and the numbers but I would still care more about what the job descriptions say and for past 4 years as I check constantly in my area has always being java, c++, python, php on nearly every job description

That depends what job descriptions you look at. All the ones in my field ask for c# and similar .net

If completely depends what you want to be doing to what languages are desired, theres so many career paths to go down.

Scala doesnt exist in Top 20 :| and GO... i'm surprised this isn't higher considering how widely used and appraised Kubernetes and Docker is.. well atleast in my company.

I'd never expect Sql/psql to feature in these lists, they seem to be more targetted at DBA specialists.. but I guess it's not a hard language to pickup and familiarise yourself with.

I don't like the TIOBE index at all because it's based only on search engines, mostly Google.

Check the Google Trends for Bitcoin, Dollar and Euro. According to this, a year ago Bitcoin was most important than both Euro and Dollar which is far from true.

I find IEEE and GitHub to be more accurate.
