About the game
Phantasy Star Online was created by sonic team for the dreamcast and later on for the PC, Game Cube & Xbox. The original server was shut down after the release of Phantasy Star Universe, I managed to find everything I needed for setting up my own server.
The way this game works, is when you log in, you enter a lobby and then you join or make a room for people to join. Similar to Gunz Online. Once in the room, you can do quests, buy equipment, fight monsters and so on.

To download the client, click the link provided. It will ask you for a username and password. Just use the username provided, it does not require a password so leave that blank.

Client Setup & Running The Game
Once you have installed the client, go into your installations directory (C:\Program Files\SoldustGaming\Phantasy Star Online) and run somthing called PSO.reg
Allow it to run and install to your registration directory. After that has finished you can run the game by using the shortcut on your desktop.

When you run the shortcut, you will get a box asking if you want to run it in online or offline mode. Select Online obviously. Then you will get another box pop up. ignore what it says and just click ok. The game will boot up.
Creating A Character
Once the game loads up, select new game to create a new character. When you next load the game, select continue game to continue with a character you have already made.
THIS GAME DOES NOT USE A LOG IN SYSTEM SO IF YOU FORMAT YOUR PC HARD DRIVE, YOUR PSO FILES AND YOU CHARACTER WILL DISSAPEER SO MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR PSO FOLDER IF YOUR GONNA FORMAT YOUR PC!
Creating A Game Room
Ok this is wierd and its somthing we are tryign to resolve.
When you first appeer in game, you will be in the lobby. Walk up to the counter and talk to the girl by hitting the action button. (Usually Enter)

A new screen will open where you can put all the data for your room like the room name and password. Now, when you create a room you MUST enter a password before the room name. For some reason it wont let you type in the room name section until you enter a password. If you dont want a password for your room, just fill in a password and then delete it after you have filled in a room name.
