its not an error, it gets to a certain part of the install where it just hangs and doesnt go any further, il take a screen shot shortly just doing some updates and updated windows installer and il see if that helps, if not il post a screen of where it gets stuck. cheers m8

im sure thats the parts where it checks ur system for sum sort of active-x of some sort.

how long have u left it like this, might just take ur machine a while to check it all to finalize installation

if it still fails maybe try using SQL 2005?? its times better then 2000 and free

look at a sticky thread and see if 2005 works better for ya

I'd recommend downloading Driver Genius and there're tutorials on how to crack it.

That'll make sure you got all the necessary up-to-date drivers. Also, use CCleaner to fix any missing .dlls

See how it goesssss!

I also thought all my drivers were there but when I ran Driver Genius; it found a few I never thought I had. Granted they may not have been all that important but it could be whats ruining the install.

Also, thought 2005 was awful for 2.3. Imho it's 2000 for 2.3 or nothing; if 2.3 doesn't work then 2.6 with access and thats dead easy. Though the files aren't as 'good' in the sense that 2.3 is completed but its hard to modify.

Meh, good luck bud!
