Practice.

Get any video editor like and start doing stuff. Watch what others do and try to copy them.
What is an editor for easy editing for a beginner, so it's easy to understand??

Kdenlive, OpenShoot, Davinci Resolve, Lightworks. Some of them have paid versions with more features. And if you want to go for something more expensive, Vegas Pro.

If by editing you mean trimming (like cutting out commercials or joining cut pieces together and such like operations) and recoding a video, there is free Avidemux that beats all paid video programs I tried out.

Go balls deep, get a cracked version of After Effects / Vegas Pro and hit YouTube.

Go hard or go home

If you want the very very basic but practically free way…

Download splice on your phone

Screen record whatever u want from you tube etc

Trim/crop the vids using your phones standard in built editor

Add video effects, sound effects and music built in to splice

Of those that are listed here they are all quite heavy and not very much functionality. For example, I read up and found Movavi https://www.movavi.com/ . Today I started rendering my first video after some simple editing. I was very happy with the speed of the process and it didn't degrade too much to upload it to Youtube, while with Openshot there was a little quality loss on rendering and then YouTube cuts the quality and gives you low-quality video as a result. That's why I'm using Movavi for now and hopefully it won't disappoint in the future.
