You read that right. After Microsoft said for many years that Windows 10 would be the last version of windows and that they would just continue to support the operating system with security updates and big ish updates twice a year.

Last night a Dev Build of Windows 11 was leaked online.

I won't get into the conspiracy stuff regarding the build up to this leak but i have spent the last few hours looking at forums and websites trying to locate a working download of the dev build. It seems that Microsoft themselves are taking down any download links to this dev build with DMCA and Copy right take downs.

Here's the link - https://www.mediafire.com/file/ogkm...release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.iso/file

I would like to point out that this is only a dev build and could be unstable.

I highly recommend downloading and running this on a virtual machine and not on your actual machine.
This download has also not been vetted for malicious code which just adds more reason to download and run this on a vm.

Enjoy Guys/Girls, Below I'll attach some leaked photos of the operating system.

(The link I've provided will eventually get taken down and i will not be uploading the ISO myself)

That looks ******* awful...a mix between Windows 8 and MacOS...ergh. The **** is the idea of the central start button/taskbar.

Looks like i'll be skipping Windows 11 :D Keeping with the trait of skipping every other OS.

They literally copied KDE Plasma.

I could be completely wrong, as I don't follow Linux that closely lol.

Considering it's open sourced and they created the ability to get close to the look of Windows (Saw something like a year ago to make "Plasma look like Windows 10X), and now Microsoft are probably doing something similar after seeing what would likely be improvements (A lot of people get ideas from modded products and such)...could be a bit far to say it was copied :D

Plasma probably functions a lot better haha, and being able to customise it to that extent is what should be available or at least possible in Windows, they could learn a thing or 2...maybe that's what they're doing? :p

UI designers should probably be shot and replaced though...still looks like ****.

Been using it for the last hour messing around. Just seems like a reskinned Windows 10 with an added built in HDR support :ROFLMAO:

Interesting find. Thanks for the post. Nothing can compare to Windows 7, though.

They spent the first hour of that "Live Stream" talking about the same ******* Widget and and the integration of Microsoft Teams, ergh!

Won't even be attempting to test this shambles of an OS lol. Keeping with the tradition of skipping every other version.

Maybe they should focus on Teams. That app really sucks. It's probably the worst piece of crap I've ever used. Since my last password change I can't login on my phone and the desktop apps are meh, they work but they are slow as ****.

Resource hungry too

I feel like this is just a shitty heel spin after saying 10 would be the last (which was a dumb thing to say anyway) but like at least wait until you’ve got something more ‘next gen’, this just looks like 10.1
