I'm thinking...

1) His login id is different to his user somehow
2) He has it wrote down
3) He knows the alt codes
4) He has a foreign keyboard / keyboard setup
5) All of the above.

Your a true geek if you drive a mini cooper lolz.

Yep. My Cooper, my designer glasses, and my Ben Sherman shirts.

All I need now is some sun, and I'll be the classic HappyGeek.

Actually, my method for obtaining login details is fairly complex.

For example, I actually have a secret web server, which, depending on the time of day, will issue a certain number of random strings, be it usernames or passwords, with a hint for how to match them up. Oh, it releases the hints in Latin (I love the language).

From there, I need to work out which site each set of details belongs to. For this, I've actually stashed USB pendrives with hashes of the username + password as one string, and then the website address in cleartext.

As such, you'd need to know the correct combination of user & pass, in order to discover which site they belong to.

A good scheme, I find. Should anyone lock me up.

All that for a username and password... Do you have a job?

as you managed to change the topic to coopers, whats your views on the mini clubman? i think it looks good.

well its gay for several reasons.

It's not a Clubman it's a Traveller/Countryman.
Plus the gaybo back door thing doesn't have much use in UK
if i had to choose between the new mini and the clubman tho id go for the regular mini the clubmans kinda pointless
