Will it download at 24 Meg a second? So a 100mb Movie will be done in 4 seconds?

It will probaly download at 2.4 MEG/s
And it will probaly upload at 100 KB/s or 1 MEG/s

ADSL speeds aren't Mbytes per second, they are in Mbits per second so no, it won't download at 24Mbytes per second but you are correct in assuming that the max download speed should be around 2.4Mbytes.

You would't really notice the download diffrence between a 3-5mbit line and a 24mbit line due to the fact the max you can download from any site is 500kbit or so. But I have downloaded at nearly 800 from fileplanet before. However I havn't seen this before. 24mbit/1mbit line is un heard of for non-buisness use. Let alone only 20 pounds a month.

yea sounds fake to me, plus dam useless as u sed most places only go upto about 500kb/sec most i ever got on 4mb was 615mb/sec and that was downloading off the t3 line on t3 line fastest ive had is about 1.2mb a sec which was just data transference

Will I really get 24 megs?
The actual bandwidth that you will receive is based on three factors: the length of the wire that connects your premises with the BT exchange, the quality of the copper, and signal interference from other users or devices. If the quality of the copper is perfect, and there is no line noise, you will receive 24 megs up to a kilometre from the exchange. If your line is two kilometres long then you can expect to receive up to 15 megs. Your bandwidth will decrease further as line length increases, and we do not offer our service if you are further than 5.5 kilometres from the exchange. While bandwidths are not guaranteed, we do offer the highest bandwidth available using ADSL2+ to your premises.

So basically they're not promising 24mbits so they can give you 1mbit and you can't do fuck all.

Also you need a cable or wireless connector that can handle up to 24mbits.

I wouldn't change to them. NTL for teh win.
