a friend of mine is buying a:

Pentium dual core 64bit 2x2.6ghz 1gb 533mhz ddr. pci-e

i told him the pentium dual cores werent anygood from what i heared, he jsut wanted me post here and ask to make sure :fart:

If thats not good could you recomend him one for £400 tops just the base unit, doesnt want a monitor or speakers etc.

I'm not sure if thats a celeron, which apparently is a big NO and 5.3 ghz is pretty misleading tbh =/. The graphic card, I think, is crap too.

Otherwise, I hope you can get more intelligent advice.

For 400 you can get a much nicer system than that.

Intel DC is general sucks compared to AMD, but that particular CPU is incredibly cheap and overclocks extremely well which is why it's popular over here.

Ye, the 5+ GHz is misleading.

The CPU is a Pentium D 805.
