From what i've seen of private servers around so far, quest system needs to be worked on // implemented (so no ascension quest) and mob ai's were none existent, skills and abilities were being worked through. Havent looked at them for a bit though so might have advanced now

Hopefully private servers won't be using gameguard as there is no way I'm installing a rootkit on my comp

gameguards simple to get around the way ncsoft do it. ofcourse im presuming it'll be done identical to lineage2.

is there a launcher? becasue ncsoft uses same laucher for all there games.

not worth setting up atm as you cant login to the world but i would still like a guide on how to set a server up so its there and ready

There a emu released were you can get in game, you can fly and chat, don't think monsters or anything like that was done, just go on the Aion emu website.

Indeed the Aion-Emu developers are rather fast working. I have the files and a working server with the new client.
