right, ive formatted all my pcs with no problems in the past, but this pc seems 2 be giving me problem after problem with all kind of things. so i came to format it earlier using the recovery console, and a screen comes up saying that no "HDD can be found"
the thing is if i change the boot setup so that the HDD loads 1st then the CD drive 2nd, the xp boot disk dont load up so i cnt get into the recovery window >< so im kinda stuck any help wud b appreciated

Why don't you just format the HDD straight from the windows installation wizard?

HD got bad sector? try those surface scan utils...

How did you get to recovery console then?

Does it freeze or do you get an error message?

Be more specific.

i was specific in my 1st post... i said

thats as far as i get its an error mesage saying there is no power/no hdd present

Your not not understanding.

Why can't you go through the NORMAL installation?

What error does it give you for that.

Is your HDD SATA?
