I'm having trouble getting programs to display characters in ASCII, right now some chinese text is being displayed as "?????", and i need to to be displayed as ASCII characters.

Any ideas?

The solution to that problem, is to use a real copy of windows.
Seeing as i'm used to downloading every single bit of software/games, i find it stupid paying 50 pounds for windows :P
