Ive got around 350 - 400 quid to spend.

I would like a 15 or 17" flap panel monitor.
1 gig ddr 333+ mhz ram.
40gig - 80gig HDD any speed
2.8 + amd ir intel processor.
Any casing.
built in gfx cos ill get a new gfx card later in the year.
a nice mobo to support 2 or 3 sticks of RAM.
wireless card for internet conn.
any power supp
any fans
basic heatsinc.

He mean's give him the EXACT specification's of what parts he will need (i think).
E.g. AMD Athlon 2000+ compatible Motherboard. :P

So basically, he wan'ts all that, but want's to know if it is all compatible together.

I think he also want's source's on where he can get all these parts for the price he has said.

It would be foolish to buy a system now, not to mention an PATA 2MB ATA 100 drive over SATA 3.0GBS 16MB drive or a 15" 12ms LCD.

I am also curious on how he's going to connect the computer to the monitor, and how he's going to install windows.

400 is too low for what you asked for, unless you want a horrible LCD that will blur with movies and games, a slow CPU, and a power supply that will die on you one day.

Conroe is INCREDIBLY faster than ANYTHING you can buy now. It would be foolish to buy anything now, especially since with only 400 pounds it will skimp on a LOT of things.
