There are more videos on youtube if you have a look around.
We require someone with a medium to high level of expertise in C#, as you will be required mainly to work on the networking architecture.

If I had any experience of C# i would be glad to help lol. Just a quick observation, but don't you think the images on the ground for gold are a bit big? Looks good so far though. What are your plans for the project once completed? Will you be running a server and/or releasing the files?

the videos are just to show the coded features, graphically it will look entirely different, although the GUI may remain slightly the same. so dont worry about the gold etc, we merely needed to show it was gold and that it was registering inside the bag.

we will most likely be hosting the game ourselves, as we have a good deal of experience in it and reliability.
It will remain a closed project, until further notice.

think they are going down the low poly side so unsure on changing graphics mate. unity works nice in low. Much faster.

if you mean the picture then you are looking for the wrong game, we aren't EA mythic, or activision blizzard.

Those videos really are just tests and concepts. We have high poly models, mobs, maps etc yet to be implemented. Even the spell effects are just tests. Many aspects are still to be agreed on as well such as possible fixed camera. Our main goal before we do any heavy artwork is to get the networking layer implemented to ensure we dont have to re-code all the scripts.

I mean I want it to look like mir, not runescape. If it looks like mir i'll be happy.

no current commercial mmorpg game is as high poly as the mir images, not even aion, which is the reason mir still looks current after such a long time, so expecting a small team to develop that level of art in 3d is abit naive, and shows you have very little experience when it comes to the 3d aspect of mmorpg games.

when working with 3d , there is limitations to how high poly the model is, which is why there is no lifelike mmorpgs on current market.

the game is in the style of mir, its not going to be 100% identical mir clone, what would be the point? we want to expand on the idea of mir.

you are judging the videos as if they was the final product lol.
game designers use placeholders to test out features/placements before adding final graphics/lighting, in order to keep going back and tweaking.

That monster AI definetly needs a bit of work lol!

Quite interesting.

yeah :) , its currently set like the mir style of AI with a few bugs ofc, mobs will idle/ move around when a player isn't present, when a player comes in a certain radius the mob will attack/follow that player, if the player runs out of range the mob will become idle again, eventually we intend to expand on this with better AI like path finding which will take us into escorts / patrols and other features (things mir lacks)

we haven't spent a lot of time on the game side in case we need to go back and recode everything to work via networking(multiplayer), which brings me to the reason of this topic.

Lol initially our goal was to make AI similar to mir as a starting point, which I think it pretty much is because lets face it mir AI was crap. Our next step is to get the mobs to work out the shortest route around objects when they chase you.

I wasn't too sure if we should post the videos when we made this post as I knew what the mir community was normally used to graphically. It was just to show that we weren't just hot air and that we have done some developing.

Once we have the networking in place we can do a proper overhaul on the graphics.
