Answers quite simple...your clicking the caption and its not letting you to character screen? then one of your gates is down my guess would be the char as its not letting you through to it...check your gates there will be an error there im sure....i could be wrong but i highly doubt it.
also i would hazard a guess that the error is that the gate thats not letting you through is not the same as the oens before it .i.e ip & caption is wrong...if its not identical to all other gate ips then it will not let you in.

......theres got to be an error.....if its not letting you through theres an error somewhere check all gates for ips and check they are identical and check that your caption names for each gate are identical too.

i dont know what fiels your using so your setup could be different to mine this is from 3g not job....
char gate ini file extract:

Server1 is your ip obviously you need to check that your ip and server name in each ini file for your gates are identical.

ok im taking it as ur running your server on the same pc as the client if so
Check all ips are
127.0.0.1 they are in many places in your server main ones are in the accounts DB under selectgateips
if your running it on a lan connection
then this should be your ur lan ip
this could be 192.168.1.x - 192.168.1.xxx
do not replace any other ip other than these 2
selectgateips
and in C:\Mud3\Mir3Server\HolleyDBSvr in !serverinfo
only real places u need to change ip
Check all ips are

the files im using are setup differently to that....but all the gates work fine on mine after i edited all the gate inis

Dbserver and in there is the file !serverinfo it should look like this
127.0.0.1,127.0.0.1:7200 if its on the same pc
if its not it would be
127.0.0.1,192.168.1.xxx:7200 replace the xxx with the last digit of lan ip

that worked now i got into charcter screen. i made a character but when i click start game it doesnt work anyidea?server help plz

i am using 3.55 files
all my gate are working properly but somehow when i click startgame it freezes for 2 second and doesnt start..
anyone got any ideas?
