Ive managed to convert the format and make a new video but .....
The files need to be converted back into .DAT format
(sounds easy huh?)... but..... you cant change it into a .DAT format from an AVI so you have to convert it to MPEG.. now heres the problem

Lots of tools out there will convert it to .DAT but for VCD format. which when you put back in the data folder crash the .EXE

Any ideas on why? A file type is a file type... and theres certainly not 2 types of .DAT

Ive still got the program which originally converted it without a problem. i was wondering if there is anyway we can reverse engineer it so it converts it back to its original format after its been edited?

Sorry if i made this hard to understand.. now you all know how my brain feels

Thx

You got thrown by a simple file extention - shame on you !!!

When you have finsihed your Master Piece, encode it using Cinepack Codec by Radius, 1024x550, 20FPS. rename the resulting file wemade.dat and put into your Data dir - wooot it works (dont say it dont or i may have to post proof).

I thought the wemade.dat is encoded with intel indeo codec...

The Screenshot I posted is from the Supplied Wemade.dat - maybe the two things are the same thing? All I know is the Customized Wemade.dat worked using that very Codec !!
