Hey guys, a friend of mine just sent me civiliation IV and when i try to install it i get this error

i did a few searches and i found a thread on a diff forum sayign something about it being a way people cant copy legit games, but it worked for my friend so why not me? :S

CRC errors mean that theres some mismatch (corruption) between the content on the CD and whatever is trying to be copied, I think it can be caused by a bad CD or a dirty lense or, I think, a corrupt hard-drive segment. I suggest you run a disk-check.
