db server connects to login server

what did login server say?

you probably forgot to add ip to one of the txt/ini... serveraddr or something in login server folder.

why is your mssql port 3306?

don't need to change those 0.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.1
That's what it was when i dl'd the whole server files and as you just said these IP's in them 2 files don't need changing to 127.0.0.1? If i've gone wrong here please tell me where to start thanks.

Kaori meant that any ip set as 0.0.0.0 should not be changed to 127.0.0.1
try changing your MonAddr in LogServ.ini back to 0.0.0.0
And from screenie, your login server isn't connected so something is wrong ip wise, also selgate is not connected,
In mine DBSPort=16303, not sure if that would make a difference though.

at this point, your objective is to get login/db servers up. There's no point opening all other programs.

Turn on DBServer ONLY.
Do you get "Server Started..."?

it's not connecting to the SQL.
fix your sql server first.

which sql are you running? 2000 or 2005 or 2008?

okay good

next is to test if your sa/sa actually works.

open cmd again
type these carefully
osql -S (local) -U sa -P sa
or
osql -S 127.0.0.1 -U sa -P sa

You should get "1>" (good)
You may get "Login failed for user 'sa'." or "SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
