EDIT: i have sorted this error, i just replaced the mapquest.txt file with the one from 1.9 serverfiles

ok.
the map quest fault was nothing to do with the files its an error caused by incorrect information in sql, basicly what you need to do to overcome the problems your getting correctly is, first of all download td's files, get them running so you have no errors in the m2, to get them running you need to read a file called updates.doc READ THE DOCUMENT AND DO EVERYTHING IT TELLS YOU TO if you need to add new fields to sql which you do, then add them, the api bind is nothing to do with anything other then the files them selves someone is bound to say disable upnp but it has fk all to do with it, as i had the map quest error and the api error and a few others to do with envirl=nil or something, its all to do with the new fields that the m2 server and db server are looking for, ile say it again read the file called "updates" make sure you replace all the exe files ALL OF THEM and then do all the updates that need to be done, if you do it correctly you will NOT get the errors again

which is why i uploaded a complete standard sql backup with all fields modified ready to go: from td's 16/04/07 release

I have come accross a new error.
How is this solved then o_O? :P
P.S. Thought i'd bump this as 1. its not a major issue as im just testing some files, and 2. saves making a new thread. ^^

i used ur updated doc jasper n it seems that my m2server come up with this msg "[12/05/2007 01:24:39] Windows socket error: The requested address is not valid in its context (10049), on API 'bind'
[12/05/2007 01:25:01] -- SQL KeepAlive" and also my dbserver come up with this msg"[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open database requested in login 'HeroBD'. Login fails
-- --> Error Keeping QueryCommand Alive!" and still i can't make a char,
i followed all instructions to install n updating n went thru the update folder n still getin thes msgs.
