Well, i've had the files working fine on 1.2.7.0.0.1, so I thought see if I can get it online for a mate to connect.

I changed all the IPs from 1.2.7, to my local ip found on one of those sites (whatismyip.com).

Then when I start the server up i'm getting all kinds of errors lol, Windows Socket Errors (the request address is not valid), etc. And by the looks of things, the m2server doesn't want to load.

Any help fully appreicated :) thank you in advance.

not sure if its different,, we are on a router, but to get it online, we chabged these ip's only, some will say change 4, some peeps will say change all, just heres an option to try

the gate address can be set to 127.0.0.1 for routers and direct conections there need to be 3 files altered

in the dbsvr folder open !serverinfo.txt

127.0.0.1 internetIPhere 7200

in the login server folder open !addrtable.txt

servername servername 127.0.0.1 internetIPhere internetIPhere:7100

and in mir200 open !runaddr.txt

internetIPhere

edit, if you are on a router, you will need to forward the 3 ports to the server machine

it's far easyer just get the files working on lan
tell your router to forward ports 3000/7000/7100/7200 to the comp hosting the server
and in your clients mir2.ini (use the one with has 3 ips in it) just set your internet ip
and there ppl can get on your server from the internet

go to the address bar and type 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.0.1 one of those will open up the router settings normally, username and pass are usuall admin/admin and go to the port forwarding section and forward the ports that td said, what router have you got ? as leo has made many guides for different routers on how to forward the ports
